Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Decision 1016/QD-TTg approving the staffing quotas of officials receiving salaries from the state budget for administrative agencies and the staffing quotas of associations with specific characteristics operating nationwide in the year 2019.According to the above Decision, the number of staffing quotas of officials is stipulated as follows:

The staffing levels of state administrative agencies and organizations include 258,163 positions, specifically:

- Administrative organizations and agencies under Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government of Vietnam, organizations established by the Government of Vietnam, and the Prime Minister (excluding public service providers): 105,189 positions;- Administrative organizations and agencies under provincial and district-level People's Councils and People's Committees: 151,906 positions;- Vietnamese representative offices abroad: 1,068 positions.

The reserve staffing level includes 749 positions.

The total staffing level of special character associations nationwide is 686 positions.
