Approval for the Extension of Wastewater Monitoring System Installation until the End of 2021

Recently, the Government has issued Resolution 129/NQ-CP on the regular monthly meeting of the Government of Vietnam in August 2020.

The Government of Vietnam concurs with the proposal of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Office of the Government of Vietnam, and resolves:

- To permit the extension of the completion time for installing the automatic and continuous wastewater and emission monitoring systems as stipulated in Clause 20 and Clause 23, Article 3 of Decree 40/2019/ND-CP until December 31, 2021;- To permit the extension until December 31, 2021, for the Hazardous Waste Treatment License and the Certificate of Environmental Protection Eligibility in importing scrap materials for production under the cases stipulated in Clause 39, Article 3 of Decree 40/2019/ND-CP, while there is no need to re-conduct the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) that has been approved if there is no change in location or increase in scale or capacity;- To assign the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment responsibility for organizing the strict implementation, proactively disseminating and transparently guiding information on mass media for enterprises, and not generating additional administrative procedures during the implementation process.
