Application for inspection of technical safety of railway vehicles in Vietnam

The Minister of Transport of Vietnam issued Circular 10/2022/TT-BGTVT dated June 23, 2022 amending Circular 29/2018/TT-BGTVT stipulating the inspection of quality , technical safety and environmental protection of railway vehicles.

According to the new regulations in Vietnam, application for inspection of quality, technical safety, and environmental protection of railway vehicles includes:

- A written request for inspection from the manufacturer, assembler, or vehicle owner, made according to the form specified in Appendix I issued together with Vietnam's Circular 29/2018/TT-BGTVT;

- Design documents as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 5 of Vietnam's Circular 29/2018/TT-BGTVT;

- Report on inspection and test results of vehicles, components, equipment, and components by the manufacturer or testing organization.

(Compared to the current regulation in Vietnam, a copy of the original for comparison or a certified copy of the quality certificate and technical documents of the components, systems, equipment, and related components used is no longer required).

Circular 10/2022/TT-BGTVT takes effect from July 1, 2022, Vietnam.
