Announcement of 04 new administrative procedures under the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam from April 10, 2024

The Ministry of Science and Technology has announced the issuance of 04 new administrative procedures concerning the Ho Chi Minh Prize, State Prize, and other awards in science and technology within the scope of the Ministry's management functions, which comes into effect in Vietnam from April 10, 2024. To be Specific:

(1) Central-level administrative procedures consist of 03 procedures:

- Procedure for awarding the Ho Chi Minh Prize in science and technology;

- Procedure for awarding the State Prize in science and technology;

- Procedure for establishing and awarding prizes in science and technology by organizations or individuals not residing or not operating in Vietnam;

(2) Provincial-level administrative procedure includes 01 procedure: Procedure for establishing and awarding prizes in science and technology by organizations or individuals residing or legally operating in Vietnam.

Additionally, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam will abolish the following 04 administrative procedures:

- Three central-level administrative procedures include:

+ Procedure for awarding the Ho Chi Minh Prize in science and technology;

+ Procedure for awarding the State Prize in science and technology;

+ Procedure for establishing and awarding prizes in science and technology by organizations or individuals not residing or not operating in Vietnam;

- One provincial-level administrative procedure includes: Procedure for establishing and awarding prizes in science and technology by organizations or individuals residing or legally operating in Vietnam.

More details can be found in Decision 405/QD-BKHCN, effective from April 10, 2024 and rescinding Decision 2479/QD-KHCN in 2019 concerning the announcement of amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the field of science and technology activities within the scope of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam's management functions.
