Additional forms of framework agreements for repurchase of government bonds with term in Vietnam

Below is the content of Circular 12/2023/TT-BTC dated 10/02/2023 amending Circular 107/2020/TT-BTC guiding the repurchase transaction with term of Government bonds from temporarily idle state funds of the State Treasury of Vietnam.

According to Vietnam's Circular 12/2023/TT-BTC, the framework agreement and its appendix may be entered into in one of the following forms:

- Paper documents (with full seals and direct signatures of competent persons representing the parties to perform the contract);

- Electronic documents (digitally signed by competent persons and digitally signed by agencies and organizations as prescribed by law), in accordance with regulations on electronic transactions in professional activities of the State Treasury of Vietnam. (New form added)

In addition, additional regulations on information disclosure are added as follows:

At the latest on the last working day of the week preceding the week of transaction execution, the State Treasury of Vietnam publishes information on its website about the schedule of repurchase transactions with government bonds expected in the next trading week.

At the same time, provide information to the Stock Exchange for posting on the Website of the Stock Exchange.

Vietnam's Circular 12/2023/TT-BTC takes effect from May 4, 2023.
