Additional 2 State Policies on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control from July 1, 2021

Recently, at the 9th Session of the XIV National Assembly, the amendment and supplementation of certain provisions of the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Law on Dykes 2020 was officially passed.

Outside of the 5 State policies on disaster prevention and control previously stipulated in the Law on Disaster Prevention and Control 2013, Clause 2, Article 1 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Disaster Prevention and Control and the Dyke Law 2020 has added 02 new policies, specifically including:

- Prioritizing the allocation of resources for research, basic investigations, development, and implementation of science and technology programs in disaster prevention and control; enhancing measures to overcome the consequences of disasters;- Prioritizing training, fostering, and conducting drills to improve the capacity of personnel involved in disaster prevention and control; training and supplying means and equipment for the commune-level disaster prevention and control shock force.

Thus, from July 1, 2021, there will be a total of 07 State policies on disaster prevention and control.
