Abolishment of Multiple Administrative Procedures in the Field of Issuing and Managing Citizen Identification Cards

Recently, the Ministry of Public Security issued Decision No. 58/QD-BCA on the announcement of administrative procedures that have been amended, supplemented, and abolished in the field of issuance and management of Citizen Identification cards under the authority of the Ministry of Public Security.

Issued with this Decision are the central, provincial, and district-level administrative procedures that are abolished from January 3, 2020, specifically including:

- Procedure for verifying the ID number when issuing the Citizen Identification Card that already has information in the National Population Database;- Verifying the ID number when issuing the Citizen Identification Card that does not yet have information in the National Population Database.

In addition, this Decision also publicly announces the modified and supplemented administrative procedures from January 3, 2020, including:

- Procedure for issuing a Citizen Identification Card when information is already/ not yet available in the National Population Database;- Replacing the Citizen Identification Card;- Reissuing the Citizen Identification Card;- …
