5 Principles for Determining Costs in Inland Waterway Surveys

On December 15, 2017, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 49/2017/TT-BGTVT stipulating the economic-technical norms for inland waterway surveying.

The determination of cost elements in the technical-economic norms for surveying inland waterways is carried out according to 5 principles as follows:

- The cost of main materials is calculated based on the quantity appropriate to the unit of measurement of the material;- The cost of other auxiliary materials is calculated as a percentage of the cost of the main materials;- The cost of labor is calculated based on the number of working days according to the average rank of workers and engineers directly conducting the survey work;- The cost of main construction machinery is calculated based on the number of machine shifts used;- The cost of other construction machinery is calculated as a percentage of the cost of using the main machinery.
