Law on Reserve Mobilization Force passed by the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, 14th Legislature, 8th session on November 26, 2019.

Law on Mobilization Reserve Force 2019 has stipulated 04 cases for mobilizing the reserve force, including:

- When implementing a general mobilization order or a local mobilization order;- When executing a martial law order;- When there is a threat to national security, order, and social safety but not to the extent of declaring a state of emergency;- For the prevention, combat, and remediation of the consequences of disasters, natural calamities, and dangerous epidemics.

Additionally, this Law also provides that, upon executing a general mobilization order or a local mobilization order, the Prime Minister will decide the number of reserve servicemen and technical equipment to be mobilized in Ministries, Ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government of Vietnam and provinces, centrally-run cities.
