3 ways for individuals in Vietnam to register for an electronic tax transaction account

The content below is clearly stated in Official Dispatch 377/TCT-DNNCN promulgated by the General Department of Taxation of Vietnam on promoting the organization of granting electronic transaction accounts in the tax field for individuals.

According to Vietnam's Official Dispatch 377/TCT-DNNCN clearly states that individuals who are taxpayers can register for an electronic transaction account in the tax field on one of three forms as follows:

- Method 1: Taxpayers register online and go directly to the tax office for approval and activation of an electronic tax transaction account.

- Method 2: Register an electronic tax transaction account through the National Public Service Portal without going to the tax office.

This form applies to individuals who already have an account on the National Public Service Portal (expected to be applied in February 2021).

- Method 3: Taxpayers register directly at the tax office.

The steps to register for an electronic trading account in the above 3 ways are detailed in the Appendix issued with Vietnam's Official Dispatch 377/TCT-DNNCN dated February 5, 2021.
