100% of Residential Areas Must Organize Their Own On-Site Fire Drills

This is the noteworthy content mentioned in Directive 32/CT-TTg aimed at strengthening fire prevention and fighting in residential areas.

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam requires the People's Committees (UBND) of provinces and centrally affiliated cities to focus on directing the implementation of the following key tasks and solutions:

- Annually, 100% of residential areas must independently organize fire fighting, rescue, and rescue drills. For residential areas with high fire and explosion risks, conduct fire fighting drills with the involvement of multiple forces and means at least once a year;- Strengthen and establish new civil defense forces, ensuring policies on allowances, firefighting equipment, and tools are in place, recognizing this force as the core in fire prevention and fighting (PCCC);- Develop specific regulations and measures to handle houses that have been converted to integrated use for living, production, business, storage, and scrap collection but do not meet fire safety conditions;- During the process of issuing construction permits and renovating individual houses, townhouses, etc., attention must be paid to the conditions ensuring fire safety.
