09 Criteria for Districts to Meet New Rural Standards in the Period from 2016 to 2020

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has just issued Circular 35/2016/TT-BNNPTNT guiding the implementation of criteria for districts meeting the new rural standards for the 2016-2020 period.

Based on the content of 09 criteria outlined below as a foundation for evaluating and recognizing each criterion of new rural district and considering the recognition of districts meeting new rural standards according to Decision 558/QD-TTg dated April 05, 2016:

- Planning Criterion;- Transportation Criterion;- Irrigation Criterion;- Electricity Criterion;- Health - Culture - Education Criterion;- Production Criterion;- Environment Criterion;- Security and Social Order Criterion;- Leadership in New Rural Development Criterion.

For districts that have been recognized as meeting new rural standards before the effective date of Circular 35, the recognition results are retained; the re-evaluation for recognizing districts meeting new rural standards shall be carried out according to the regulations in Circular 35 and other relevant documents.

Circular 35/2016/TT-BNNPTNT is effective from February 08, 2017.
