06 central-level administrative procedures in the field of environment to be annulled on October 24, 2022, in Vietnam

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued Decision 2787/QĐ-BTNMT dated October 24, 2022 on the announcement of abolished administrative procedures in the field of environment and water resources in Vietnam.

To annul a number of central-level administrative procedures in the field of environment, including:

- Procedures issued in Decision 3806/QD-BTNMT in 2018:

+ Issuing and adjusting the License to treat hazardous waste;

+ Reissue of Hazardous Waste Treatment License.

- Procedures issued in Decision 634/QD-BTNMT in 2016:

+ Approve the use of waterless foundation drilling fluid;

+ Approve separation of connections from the centralized wastewater treatment system of industrial parks, export processing zones, and high-tech parks and the self-treatment of generated wastewater;

+ Consideration for the Vietnam Environment Award.

- Procedures issued in Decision 2528/QD-BTNMT in 2017: Granting a Certificate of circulation of biological products in waste treatment

In addition, 03 provincial-level administrative procedures in the field of environment promulgated by Decision 634/QD-BTNMT in 2016 are also abolished, including:

- Approving separation of connections from the centralized wastewater treatment system of industrial parks, export processing zones, and high-tech parks and the self-treatment of generated wastewater;

- Issuing a register of hazardous waste source owners;

- Re-issuance of the Hazardous Waste Source Owner Registration Book.

Decision 2787/QD-BTNMT takes effect from the date of signing.
