Below are the contents of Decision 13/2023/QD-TTg dated May 22, 2023 on the List of scrap permitted to be imported from abroad as raw production materials.

05 groups of scrap allowed to be imported as production materials from June 1, 2023 in Vietnam

The list of scrap permitted to be imported from abroad as raw production materials in Vietnam includes:

Group 1: Iron, steel, and cast iron scrap:

- Scrap and scrap of cast iron.

- Scrap and scrap of alloy steel: Of stainless steel.

- Scrap and scrap of alloy steel: Other.

- Scrap and scrap of tinned iron or steel.

- Other waste and scrap: Turning chips, shavings, scraps, mill scale, sawdust, filings, cutting chips, and burrs, whether or not pressed into blocks or in bales, buns, or bundles.

- Other waste and scrap: Other.

Group 2: Waste and scrap of plastics (plastics):

- From ethylene-based polymers: Porous, non-rigid.

- Of ethylene-based polymers: Other

- Of styrene polymers: Other: Styrene polymers (PS), Acrylonitrin Butadiene Styrene (ABS); High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS); Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

- Of polymers of vinyl chloride: Other

- Of other plastics.

Group 3: Paper waste

- Kraft paper or paperboard or corrugated paper or paperboard, unbleached

- Other paper or paperboard made principally of bleached, chemically obtained pulp, not wholly colored

- Paper or paperboard made principally of pulp obtained by mechanical processing (for example, newsprint, magazines, and similar publications)

Group 4: Glass waste: Glass scrap and other waste and scrap, other than cathode ray tube glass or other active glass of heading 85.49.

Group 5: Non-ferrous metal scrap

- Scrap and scrap of copper.

- Nickel material and debris.

- Scrap and scrap of aluminum.

- Scrap and scrap of zinc.

- Tin scrap and scrap.

- Waste and scrap of manganese.
