02 Requirements for Transport Vehicles Subject to Customs Supervision

Recently, the General Department of Customs issued Official Dispatch No. 754/TCHQ-GSQL regarding the strengthening of inspection, control, and supervision of goods transported under customs supervision.

To enhance the inspection, supervision, and prevention of fraudulent activities concerning goods under customs supervision, Official Dispatch 754 requires the transportation means for these goods to meet the following conditions:

- For containers carrying goods, the conditions regarding customs sealing and supervision must be met, ensuring they are not torn, broken, or punctured; the lock and bolt must have holes that can accommodate customs seals; the hinges and ears of the container must comply with the standards specified in Circular 64/2015/TT-BGTVT;- For transport means that are box trucks, the conditions are that the cargo box must not be punctured, torn, or broken; the lock and bolt must have holes ensuring they can accommodate customs seals;- In cases where the container/cargo box does not meet the above conditions, the Customs Branch will not allow the loading and unloading of goods onto that transport means and will not confirm the conditions through the customs supervision area.
