The temporary guidance on pre-vaccination screening for COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18 and over applies to all state and private medical examination and treatment facilities, vaccination facilities, and vaccination facilities across the country. Specifically:

Subjects eligible for vaccination

Persons of vaccination age as recommended in the manufacturer's instructions for use and not hypersensitive to the active substance or to any of the excipients in the vaccine's composition.

Subjects that need to be vaccinated with caution

The following subjects must be carefully and carefully screened:

- People with a history of allergy to other allergens.

- People with underlying diseases, chronic diseases.

- Loss of consciousness, loss of behavior capacity.

- People with a history of thrombocytopenia and/or coagulopathy.

- Pregnant women ≥ 13 weeks.

- Those who detect abnormal vital signs:

+ Temperature <35.5oC and >37.5oC.

+ Pulse: < 60 beats/min or > 100 beats/min.

+ Minimum blood pressure < 60 mmHg or > 90 mmHg and/or systolic blood pressure < 90 mmHg or > 140 mmHg or 30 mmHg higher than daily blood pressure (in people with hypertension who are on treatment and have low blood pressure). medical records).

Breathing rate > 25 breaths/minute.

Subjects delaying vaccination

- Having an acute illness.

- Pregnant women under 13 weeks.

According to the previous regulations, people with a clear history of having COVID-19 within 6 months are also subject to delayed vaccination. Thus, the new regulation has removed this object.

Contraindications

- Clear history of anaphylaxis to the same type of COVID-19 vaccine (last time).

- There are any contraindications as declared by the manufacturer.

In addition, pre-vaccination screening is carried out as previously prescribed.

Decision 5785/QD-BYT takes effect from December 21, 2021; annul Decision 4355/QD-BYT dated September 10, 2021.
