Accordingly, the Directive stated that during the fourth outbreak of the epidemic, many pregnant women and children were infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, many orphans, fell into special circumstances, and were homeless. Lack of care from parents, family affects children's life and learning.

In order to overcome the immediate and long-term consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic on children with the view of best protecting and minimizing adverse impacts on children, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to take the lead. , coordinate with ministries and sectors to propose policies on solutions, care, protection and nurturing of orphaned children in general and orphaned children affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in particular, ensuring compliance with regulations. under the law; focus on children being cared for by loved ones.

Research and develop programs to overcome limitations and impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic on children such as mental health care, psychosocial care, orphanage care to ensure comprehensive development. of children;

Consolidate the system of child protection services, mental health and psychosocial care services for children; strengthen communication to promote the role of society and the population in protecting and taking care of children, especially children affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

In addition, request the Ministry of Education and Training to continue effectively implementing Directive 24/CT-TTg dated September 3, 2021. At the same time, guide families in coordinating with schools to care for and educate children to ensure safety and effectiveness when learning online; ensure the safety of students returning to school.

Promoting vaccination against COVID-19 for children

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Health to guide measures to prevent and control the epidemic and promote the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination for children under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister.

At the same time, direct the treatment and care of children infected with COVID-19 and affected by COVID-19.

The Prime Minister asked the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct, guide and inspect the strict implementation of measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic for children in their localities.
