Objectives for the implementation of the National Strategic Action Plan on nutrition to 2025 in Vietnam
What are the specific objectives for the implementation of the Action Plan?
Pursuant to subsection B, Section II, the Action Plan promulgated together with Decision 1294/QD-BYT in 2022 stipulates the following objectives:
- Objective 1: Implement a diverse, reasonable and food-safe diet for all ages and all subjects according to the life cycle, especially high-risk groups and sick people.
- Objective 2: Improve the nutritional status of mothers, children and adolescents, focusing on ethnic minority areas and mountainous areas, poor districts, and extremely difficult communes.
- Objective 3: Control overweight and obesity, prevent chronic non-communicable diseases and related risk factors in children, adolescents and adults.
- Objective 4: Improve micronutrient deficiency in children, adolescents and women of childbearing age, focusing on ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, poor districts, special communes difficulty.
- Objective 5: Increase resources to effectively implement the National Strategy on nutrition and improve the capacity to respond to nutrition in emergency situations.
