There is just over a month left until the national Tet holiday of Vietnam. In addition to performing final tasks to end 2020, officials and public employees also need to pay attention to 05 things that cannot be done during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2021.
Currently, the law does not have specific provisions on whether state agencies, public non-business units and enterprises are required to give Tet bonuses to officials and public employees. Accordingly, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, it is likely that officials and public employees will not receive Tet bonuses in 2021.
Recently, the Minister of Home Affairs of Vietnam has issued the Circular No. 6/2020/TT-BNV on Regulations on organization of recruitment and admission examinations for officials and public employees. In particular, candidates when participating in the recruitment and admission examinations for officials and public employees should pay special attention to the following 16 issues:
According to the Resolution No. 86/2019/QH14, the National Assembly of Vietnam proposes to increase the statutory pay rate from VND 1,49 million/month to VND 1,6 million/month. However, due to the impact of Covid-19, this plan has been postponed. Therefore, the statutory pay rate in 2021 of officials and public employees remains the same.
Circular No. 36/2018/TT-BTC guiding preparation of estimates, management, use and making of statement of expenditure on training and improvement of officials and public employees was issued on March 30, 2019 by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam. This Circular specifies expenditure on training and improvement of officials and public employees.
