Good news for employees in Vietnam: from January 1, 2017, the regional minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts will increase by 180,000 - 250,000 VND. Along with this wage increase, there are changes regarding the applicable regions. To help employees and businesses quickly and accurately look up the minimum wage applicable in their regions, Lawnet introduces the regional minimum wage table for each locality.
The region-based minimum wage is the lowest wage level used as the basis for enterprises to determine the wage levels in their wage scales and payrolls; agree on the wage level in the employment contract and pay wages to employees. According to the regulations, enterprises operating in any area shall apply the region-based minimum wage stipulated for that area.
In order to assist our Customers and Members in conveniently tracking and updating regional minimum wage for the year 2020, Lawnet respectfully presents the table for consulting the regional minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts in Vietnam from January 1, 2020, in the table below.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) will advise the Government of Vietnam to issue a decree stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under employment contract applicable for the year 2024.
