Requirements for Facilities and Training Equipment for Karate

On January 19, 2018, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism promulgated Circular 02/2018/TT-BVHTTDL, specifying detailed requirements for the facilities and equipment for practicing Karate.

Accordingly, Circular 02 stipulates that facilities must meet the following requirements:

- Have a training area with a minimum size of 60m² or more; the floor surface must be flat and non-slippery;- Have lighting with a minimum of 200 lux;- Have a notice board outlining the following main contents: Eligible participants for training, training attire, training hours, and safety measures during training.

At the same time, Circular 02 also stipulates that equipment for Karate training must meet the following requirements:

- Have specialized Karate uniforms; blue gloves, red gloves; blue foot and shin guards; red foot and shin guards; protective gear (lamps);- Have changing rooms, storage areas, and sanitary areas; have a first aid kit as per Ministry of Health regulations;- Maintain a log of students participating in training, recording their full names, dates of birth, addresses, duration of study, and keeping each person's application for study.
