The Law on providing assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises 2017 of Vietnam effective from January 01, 2018 stipulates preferential policies for business households converting to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To be specific:
“Startup” is a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) that is established to implement its business ideas based on the exploitation of intellectual property, technology and new business models and is able to grow quickly.
The Law on providing assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises 2017 of Vietnam takes effect from January 01, 2018. This Law stipulates that small and medium-sized enterprises will be supported in many aspects, for example: assistance in tax and accounting regimes, assistance in production areas, assistance in access to information, consultancy and legal issues, etc. and assistance in developing human resources.
The Law on providing assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises was approved on June 12, 2017 by the National Assembly of Vietnam and officially effective from January 01, 2018.
On September 13, 2017, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision No. 1357/QĐ-TTg promulgating the List and assignment of the agency to preside over the drafting of detailed guiding documents for 13 Laws and Resolutions approved by the National Assembly at its 3rd session.
This is an important content of the Law on providing assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises 2017 approved by the 14th National Assembly of Vietnam at its 3rd session on June 12, 2017.
