Person with disabilities means a person who is impaired in one or more body parts or suffers functional decline manifested in the form of disability which causes difficulties with his/her work, daily life and study. Thus, the State always has policies for persons with disabilities.
The Law on Persons with Disabilities 2010 of Vietnam was promulgated on June 17, 2010 and officially effective from January 01, 2011, of which one of the notable contents is the regulation on employment for persons with disabilities.
On June 17, 2010, the National Assembly of Vietnam approved the Law on Persons with Disabilities 2010, which provides the rights and obligations of persons with disabilities: and responsibilities of the State, families and society towards persons with disabilities. There are acts prohibited specified in this Law.
