The Law on Organization of the National Assembly 2014 of Vietnam was promulgated on November 20, 2014 and officially effective from January 01, 2016, of which one of the featured content is the regulation on collection of votes of confidence and casting of votes of confidence.
The Law on Organization of the National Assembly 2014 of Vietnam officially takes effect from January 01, 2016. This Law regulates important issues of the National Assembly such as organization, term of office, tasks, powers, etc. including National Assembly sessions.
According to the Law on Organization of the National Assembly of Vietnam effective from January 01, 2016, a National Assembly deputy shall represent the will and aspirations of the People of his/her constituency and of the whole country and exercise the state power in the National Assembly on behalf of the People.
According to the Constitution and the Law on Organization of the National Assembly of Vietnam, our country's National Assembly has 3 main functions, which are: to exercise constitutional and legislative powers; to decide on important issues for the country; and to conduct the supreme oversight over the activities of the State.
