Electricity activities in Vietnam mean activities of organizations or individuals in the domains of electricity development planning, investment, electricity generation, electricity transmission, electricity distribution, electric system regulation, electricity market transaction administration, electricity wholesaling and retailing, specialized electricity consultancy and other relevant activities.
The Law on Electricity 2004 of Vietnam was promulgated on December 03, 2004. Organizations, individuals shall be granted electricity activity licenses when meeting the conditions prescribed by law. However, this Law also stipulates cases where electricity activity licenses shall be revoked.
