The Law on access to information of Vietnam creates a legal framework for the exercise of citizens' right to access information and improves the publicity and transparency in the operations of state agencies.
The Law on access to information 2016 of Vietnam takes effect from July 01, 2018. In addition to types of information that must be disclosed publicly, the Law on access to information 2016 of Vietnam also stipulates inaccessible information and accessible information with particular conditions.
Address, phone number, of the state agency; activities of investment, management and use of state capital in enterprises, etc. are information that must not be hidden.
This is one of the contents mentioned in the Law on access to information 2016 of Vietnam, which was approved by the National Assembly on April 06, 2016, consisting of 5 chapters, 37 articles.
According to the Law on access to information No. 104/2016/QH13 of Vietnam effective from July 01, 2018, all citizens have the right to request information from state agencies without paying fees, charges, etc.
The Law on access to information, which was approved by the National Assembly of Vietnam, strictly prohibits the following acts: deliberate provision of false or incomplete information or delay in provision of information; intentional provision or use of information to offend honor, human dignity and prestige or cause gender discrimination or damage to property of other individual, organization or agency; etc.
