Vietnam: No need to test for SARS-CoV-2 for employees who have received the full dose of vaccine

This is the remarkable content at Official Dispatch 8228/BYT-MT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam on SARS testing guidelines- CoV-2 for production and business establishments.

According to the Official Dispatch, the regulations on testing for SARS-CoV-2 for production and business establishments are as follows:

* Not applicable to people who have received the full dose of vaccine (last dose given within at least 14 days and not more than 12 months), or have recovered from COVID-19 within 06 months (If yes, only recommended, optional).

- Test technique by RT-PCR or rapid antigen test.

Production and business establishments, if self-testing by rapid SARS-COV-2 antigen test, must be guided by the Provincial Center for Disease Control or the District Health Center.

The SARS-COV-2 antigen rapid test must be on the list of which has been granted a circulation registration number or an import license by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

Production and business establishments are solely responsible for the quality of antigen tests, testing procedures and results.

The district-level Health Center is responsible for inspecting and supervising the implementation and immediately and properly handling the report when receiving a report of test results with a positive case for SARS-CoV-2.

For drivers transporting goods joint provinces and cities: If moving from an area where social distancing is implemented under Directive 16/CT-TTg to an adjacent area where a low disease risk level is applied, the test must be performed by a medical facility.

The time for testing is in accordance with the provisions of Official Dispatch 5753/BYT-MT of Vietnam dated July 19, 2021 on testing and creating favourable conditions for cargo carriers.
