Scientific labor coefficient of titles performing S&T tasks in Vietnam
The scientific labor coefficient of the titles performing science and technology tasks funded by the State budget is as follows:
- Task leader: coefficient 1.0.
- Scientific secretary: coefficient 0.3.
- Senior member: coefficient 0.8.
- Member: coefficient 0.4.
- Technicians, support staff: coefficient 0.2.
An individual can participate in many research contents and works with different titles; The individual's remuneration for research content and work is calculated according to the scientific labor coefficient of the corresponding title and the individual's time to perform such research content and work.

Titles performing S&T tasks in Vietnam
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 3 of Circular 02/2023/TT-BKHCN, the titles performing the S&T tasks in Vietnam include:
(1) Task manager:
- The task manager is the person responsible before the task management agency for: developing task descriptions; general management, assignment, and coordination of the implementation of all research contents in the task; evaluating the results of the implementation of the research contents of the task; preparing reports at the request of task management agencies, including general reports, and summary reports on task performance.
- The task manager must meet the conditions for registration as a task manager using the state budget according to current regulations.
- Each mission has only one task owner.
(2) Scientific secretary:
- Scientific secretary is the person who supports the manager in charge of managing and organizing the performance of the task, including: assisting in monitoring and urging the progress of the task implementation; assisting in the development of reports at the request of task management agencies, general reports, and summary reports on task performance; supporting the payment and settlement of expenses for performing tasks; and other supporting jobs as assigned by the task manager.
- Each mission has only one science secretary.
(3) Main members:
- The main member is the individual assigned by the task manager who is responsible for the implementation of each research content of the task.
- In a task, there is a lot of research content. Each content is chaired by at most one main member.
(4) Members:
- Task member is an individual assigned by the task manager to participate in performing specific tasks in the research content of the task.
(5) Technicians, support staff (excluding unskilled workers):
- Technicians and support staff are people assigned by the task manager to perform technical operations or research support activities.
to serve the performance of specific tasks in the research content according to the task description.
(6) The detailed estimation of remuneration for the titles must be associated with the research contents and specific tasks in the task description according to current regulations.
