1. Disciplines for party members

Pursuant to Article 7 of Regulation 69-QD/TW of 2022, Discipline methods are as follows:

- For official party members:

+ Reprimand;

+ Warning;

+ Demotion (if there is a position);

+ Exclusion.

-For reserve members:

+ Reprimand;

+ Warning.

(Currently, there are no regulations on the form of name deletion, so Party members who violate to the point of expulsion must be expelled; resign so Party members who violate to the point of dismissal must be dismissed. If a reserve member commits a violation to the point of having to take disciplinary action, he/she will be disciplined with a reprimand or warning; If he/she is not eligible anymore, his/her name will be removed from the list of party members.)

2. Disciplines for Party members who use gifts to bribe their way up in Vietnam

2.1. Reprimand party members who use gifts to bribe their way up in Vietnam

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 30 of Regulation 69-QD/TW of 2022, stipulating the discipline of reprimand when causing less serious consequences for party members who commit the following acts:

Approaching, establishing relationships, giving gifts to people with responsibility, positions, powers or related people to receive relief and support for the purpose of obtaining a working position and authority.

(Previously, the act of giving gifts to take advantage of the responsible person, leading to the issuance of wrong decisions, in favor of oneself or the agency, unit, organization, or enterprise in which one participates, gives or receives gifts with a profit motive is regulated)

2.2. Warn or dismiss Party members who use gifts to bribe their way up in Vietnam

Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 30 of Regulation 69-QD/TW of 2022 stipulating the discipline of warning or dismissal (if any) for the following acts:

- Having been disciplined for the act of approaching, establishing relationships, giving gifts to responsible people, positions, powers or related people in order to be expelled, supported for the purpose of obtaining a working position, power, or causing serious consequences;

- Performing acts of giving or receiving gifts to the responsible person or related person who decides on the appointment, transfer, rotation, reward, and discipline.(New point)

2.3. Expel party members who use gifts to bribe their way up in Vietnam

Clause 3, Article 30 of Regulation 69-QD/TW of 2022 prescribes the discipline of expelling Party members, causing very serious consequences when committing the following acts:

- The act of approaching, establishing relationships, and giving gifts to a responsible person, position, authority, or related person in order to be excommunicated or supported for the purpose of obtaining a working position, position, or authority;

- Acts of giving or receiving gifts to a responsible person or a related person to decide on the appointment, transfer, rotation, reward, or discipline

Or give or receive bribes to arrange or appoint many cadres who are not qualified.

Regulation 69-QD/TW in 2022 takes effect from July 6, 2022, replacing Regulation 07-QDi/TW in 2018, Regulation 102-QD/TW in 2017.
