Vietnam: To lockdown Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province, until the end of the 6th of Lunar New Year (Illustration)
In the face of the complicated situation of the COVID-19 epidemic in Hai Duong province, when a new case of infection was detected in the community on the morning of January 27, 2021, in order to assess the situation and make recommendations on the situation, The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested an urgent solution to epidemic prevention.
1. All of Chi Linh city in Hai Duong province shall be under lockdown and subject to the measures provided for in the Prime Minister’s Vietnam's Directive 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020, in which:
- Practice social distancing throughout the whole city for 21 days starting from 12 AM of January 28, 2021 between families, neighborhoods/villages, communes, wards, etc. All inhabitants of the city shall only go outside when strictly necessary;
- Suspend all schools, public activities, recreational facilities, mass gatherings and non-essential service provision.
- Suspend outbound public transit, excluding travel for official business or when strictly necessary. Minimize use of private vehicles. Ensure uninterrupted transport of goods and raw materials for manufacturing.
- Heads of manufacturing and business establishments shall take responsibility for implementation of measures against COVID-19.
2. Suspend activities with large crowds, shops and restaurants that do not serve customers eating and drinking on the spot; implementing prescribed epidemic prevention and control measures; recording all information of people coming in and out (full name, address, contact phone); implementing strict food safety control measures.
- Suspend operations of non-essential service business establishments such as: beauty services, sauna, massage, karaoke, bars, discos, game rooms, games, cinemas, gyms, facilities for sports service business...
- Religious, belief, and worship establishments do not hold ceremonies and activities with large gatherings of people. Do not organize to welcome delegations from all over the world; strictly comply with regulations on disease prevention.
- Agencies, units, and businesses do not organize year-end parties.
- Suspend activities of the Bonsai Association, exhibitions, and rest stops on national highways in Hai Duong province. Flower markets serving the Tet holidays must strictly follow social distancing and epidemic prevention measures.
- Suspend Chi Linh golf course, testing all staff and guests coming to play golf from January 15, 2021 onwards.
- Do not organize fireworks on the occasion of New Year's Eve in the province.
