On August 04, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued the Official Dispatch No. 6289/BYT-KCB on proactively publishing information about the Covid-19 epidemic on the mass media.

In the face of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in the world and in the country, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam noted that provinces and cities have timely, fully and accurately reported to the Ministry of Health the local situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the past time.
However, there are still some provinces and cities that have not timely reported epidemic data and developments, which causes difficulty for disease prevention and control.
In order to promptly and accurately disclose information and developments of the Covid-19 epidemic to the people, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam proposed the Chairmans of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities to assign the functional agencies to proactively announce the number of new cases, treated cases, recovered cases and died cases during the day and accumulated from the beginning of the epidemic through the official portal of the Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control and the local mass media.
Announcing time twice a day: 6 o'clock and 18 o'clock.
At the same time directed the Department of Health to still fully perform its responsibility for statistics and reports to the Ministry of Health according to documents of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health to promptly summarize reports to the National Steering Committee, Government Office of Vietnam and relevant agencies.
