Vietnam: Law on Notarization (amended) available soon

In order to organize the full, timely, and effective implementation of the tasks of the Ministry, the Justice branch has been identified in Resolution 01/NQ-CP in 2021 and Resolution 02/NQ-CP in 2021. The Ministry of Justice of Vietnam issues the Action Program of the Justice sector with a number of main tasks:

- Research and develop orientations for the development of the Law on Notary (amended) on the basis of the results of summarizing the implementation of the Law on Notarization 2014.

- Effectively implement the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Judicial Assessment; Decree 157/2020/ND-CP of the Government dated December 31, 2020 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 85/2013/ND-CP of the Government dated July 29, 2013 detailing measures to implement the Law on Judicial Assessment; Decree 08/2020/ND-CP of the Government dated January 8, 2020 on bailiff organization and operation; The Resolution 172/NQ-CP dated November 19, 2020 of the Government on the development policy of the notary profession and Directive 40/CT-TTg dated November 2, 2020 of the Prime Minister on strengthening management work of the state in property auction activities

- Coordinating to successfully organize the third National Congress of Lawyers; directing the preparation of the second congress of notary deputies of Vietnam.

- Continue to organize the effective implementation of the Law on Legal Aid and its guiding documents, and the Project on Renovation of Legal Aid Work in the period 2015–2025; improve the quality and efficiency of legal aid services and the capacity of the legal aid implementation team to contribute to ensuring social security; continue to promote communication about this activity.

- Continue to synchronously implement legal support activities for businesses, with a focus on legal support for small and medium-sized enterprises, in order to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses, especially those suffering from financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, on the basis of sticking to the above-mentioned main goals and tasks, the justice sector focuses on implementing specific tasks to implement Vietnam's Resolution 01/NQ-CP in 2021 and Resolution 02/NQ-CP in 2021, as stated in the Appendix attached to Decision 71/QD-BTP.
