Accordingly, in order to better serve the travel needs of people when participating in traffic by flexible airways, the Ministry of Transport has adjusted the conditions of passengers and crew participating in domestic flights as follows:

1. Conditions for passengers to join the flight

- In case the passenger resides, stays before the flight in an epidemic area at level 4 or is in regional medical isolation (blockade) or the passenger on the flight departs from the epidemic area at level 4 or is isolated. regional health (blockade): have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method or antigen rapid test is valid within 72 hours from the time of sample collection. the time of flight departure;

- Other conditions:

+ Passengers must make medical declarations according to regulations, use the PC-COVID application, take responsibility for the truthfulness of the declared information;

Passengers are not allowed to join the flight when they have symptoms of cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat, loss of taste, etc.

As such, according to the above regulations, only requirements for SARS-CoV-2 testing are required for passengers residing, staying before the flight or departing from the airport in the epidemic area at level 4 or isolated. regional health (blockade).

2. Conditions for flight crew

The Ministry of Transport's adjustment of conditions for flight crews is to comply with the standards and conditions for flight crews, Part 2, Section IV of Decision 1840/QD-BGTVT dated October 20, 2021 of the Minister of Transport ( except for the have negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method or antigen rapid test is valid within 07 days from the time of sample collection to before duty on the aircraft ) .

Thus, the new regulation has canceled the requirement to test for SARS-CoV-2 periodically every 7 days.

In addition, the Ministry of Transport assigned the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to continue closely monitoring the situation of domestic air transport operations, proactively deciding the frequency of domestic routes to ensure the principle of safe and flexible adaptation. , effectively controlling the COVID-19 epidemic, meeting the travel needs of the people.

At the same time, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam strengthens monitoring and closely inspects the performance of duties by agencies and units to ensure that flights are operated safely, coordinated flights reasonably, and no accidents occur. causing congestion at airports, ensuring effective prevention of COVID-19 epidemic. Strictly handle violations (if any).

The Department of Health and Transport shall review and work with agencies and units of the Ministry of Health on adjusting and completing regulations on standards and conditions for passengers participating in traffic to meet travel needs. of the people and in line with reality.
