On August 10, 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Decision No. 3802/QĐ-BYT on temporary Guidelines for previous screening for Covid-19 vaccination.
According to the Decision No. 3802/QĐ-BYT of the Health Ministry of Vietnam, 03 groups of subjects that need to delay Covid-19 vaccination include:
- Having an obvious history of Covid-19 infected within 6 months.
- Having an acute illness.
- Pregnant women under 13 weeks.
Previously, according to the Decision No. 2995/QĐ-BYT dated June 18, 2021, subjects that need to delay Covid-19 vaccination include:
- Having an ongoing, uncontrolled acute or chronic disease.
- People with severe immunodeficiency, end-stage cancer, decompensated cirrhosis,...
- Within the previous 14 days, there was high-dose corticosteroid therapy (equivalent to prednisolone ≥ 2 mg/kg/day for ≥ 7 days), or chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
- Have had Covid-19 within 6 months.
- Pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding.
In addition, this Decree also guides subjects that need to be vaccinated with caution, including:
- People with a history of allergies to other allergens.
- People with underlying diseases and chronic diseases are treated stably.
- Loss of consciousness, loss of behavioral capacity.
- People over 65 years old.
- People with a history of thrombocytopenia and/or coagulopathy.
- People with chronic diseases have found abnormal vital signs:
+ Pulse: < 60 beats/min or > 100 beats/min.
+ Diastolic blood pressure < 60 mmHg or > 90 mmHg and/or systolic blood pressure < 90 mmHg or > 140 mmHg.
+ Respiratory rate > 25 breaths/minute and/or SpO2 < 94% (if any).
Decision No. 2995/QĐ-BYT takes effect from the day of signing, issuing and annulling.
