1. What is the price listing in Vietnam?
Posting prices means that organizations or individuals in Vietnam produce and do business by making public announcements in appropriate forms, clearly and without causing confusion to customers about the purchase price, selling price of goods and services in Vietnam dong by printing, pasting, inscribing prices on the price list, on the paper or on the packaging of the goods or in other forms at the place of transaction or the place of offering goods and services to facilitate the observation and recognition of customers and competent state agencies.
2. Principles of price listing in Vietnam
- Organizations and individuals in Vietnam produce and trade to list prices in appropriate forms, clearly and without causing confusion to customers about the purchase price, selling price of goods and services by printing, pasting, inscribing prices on the price list, on paper or on the packaging of goods or in other forms at the trading place or the place of offering goods and services to facilitate the observation and recognition of customers and competent state agencies.
For goods and services priced by the State, organizations or individuals producing and/or trading must list them at the prices prescribed by competent state agencies and buy and sell them at the listed prices.
For goods and services not included in the list of goods and services priced by the State, they shall be listed according to the prices determined by organizations or individuals in Vietnam for production and business and may not be sold higher or purchased lower than the listed prices.
- The listed currency is Vietnam Dong unless otherwise specified by law.
- Listed price means the price of goods and services including taxes, fees and charges (if any) of such goods and services.
3. Location where prices are required to be posted in Vietnam
The locations where the prices are listed include:
- Production and business establishments (with counter for trading and selling products).
- Supermarkets, commercial centers, markets in Vietnam in accordance with the law, shops, shops, kiosks, stands, places of transaction to sell goods and provide services.
- Exhibition fairs in Vietnam sell goods and provide services.
- Other locations as prescribed by law.
