Accordingly, the discount for SARS-CoV-2 testing service in the case of falling within the scope of payment of the Health Insurance Fund is as follows:

- Quick test for SARS-CoV-2 Ag test application form: The maximum payment is not more than 78,000 VND/test.

(Currently, according to Circular 16/2021/TT-BYT , the maximum payment cannot exceed 109,700 VND/test).

- Testing for SARS-CoV-2 by automatic or semi-automatic immunoassay machine: The maximum payment is not more than 178,900 VND/test.

(Currently, the maximum payment is not more than 186,600 VND/test).

- Testing for SARS-CoV-2 by Realtime RT-PCR technique:

+ In case of application form: The maximum payment is not more than 501,800 VND for testing.

(Currently, the maximum payment is not more than 518,400 VND/test).

+ In case of sample pooling: The maximum payment level shall not exceed the price for testing and pooling samples specified in column 2, Section IV, Appendix issued together with Circular 02/2022/TT-BYT .

Thus, from February 21, 2022, the price of COVID-19 testing will be reduced to VND 78,000/test instead of VND 109,700/test as before.

Besides, Circular 02/2022/TT-BYT also stipulates the price of SARS-CoV-2 testing service in case it is not within the payment scope of the Health Insurance Fund, specifically:

- For state-owned medical examination and treatment establishments located in provinces and centrally run cities and medical examination and treatment establishments under ministries and central agencies located in their locality, except for Second case below:

The price determination is made according to the regulations on the price of SARS-CoV-2 testing services in the case of falling within the payment range of the Health Insurance Fund, in which the price includes direct costs and expenses. the salary (excluding biological reagents for reaction testing) shall be regulated by the local competent authority but must not exceed the maximum price bracket for SARS-CoV-2 testing services as specified in column 1 of the original Appendix. promulgated together with Circular 02/2022/TT-BYT ;

- For medical examination and treatment establishments affiliated to the Ministry of Health and special-class hospitals, grade I hospitals belonging to ministries, central agencies and state-owned medical facilities providing medical services. backup economy:

The price is applied according to the regulations on the price of SARS-CoV-2 testing service in case it is within the payment range of the Health Insurance Fund.

Note : In case of voluntary testing upon request, testing for organizations and enterprises under contract:

State-owned medical facilities shall collect from service users or make payments to organizations and enterprises at the rates applicable to subjects not covered by the health insurance fund and the cost of purchasing them. biological products for testing as prescribed.

Circular 02/2022/TT-BYT takes effect from February 21, 2022 and replaces Circular 16/2021/TT-BYT .
