Proposal to supplement regulations on people with domestic violence possibility in Vietnam (Illustration)
Specifically, people with possibility of committing domestic violence in Vietnam include:
- People who have committed domestic violence; condone and covered up acts of domestic violence;
- People with gender stereotypes;
- People addicted to alcohol, beer, drugs and other addictive substances;
- Gamblers, game addicts, people with no stable income; people living in domestic violence.
In which, condoning and covering up domestic violence in Vietnam is understood as one of the following acts:
- Witnessing domestic violence cases but failing to notify competent organizations or individuals;
- Not participating in prevent domestic violence even though having ability to do so;
- Inciting, instigating and assisting others to commit acts of domestic violence;
- Providing false information about domestic violence cases;
- Not handling or handling properly based on the nature of the violent act when receiving information about domestic violence;
- Not recording domestic violence situation in the locality; failing to take measures to prevent domestic violence as prescribed.
