Preferential benefit for sick soldiers in Vietnam

The preferential benefit for sick soldiers shall comply with the provisions of Article 27 of the Ordinance on Incentives for People with Meritorious Service to the Revolution 2020, specifically as follows:

- Monthly allowances and allowances for sick soldiers are as follows:

+ Monthly allowance based on the body injury rate;

+ Allowance for servicemen for sick soldiers with an injury rate of 81% or more living in their families;

+ Monthly allowance for sick soldiers with an injury rate of 81% or more;

+ Special monthly allowance for sick soldiers with an injury rate of 81% or more and having a particularly serious illness. Soldiers who receive special monthly allowances are not entitled to monthly allowances.

- Health Insurance.

- Nursing rehabilitation every two years; cases with a body injury rate of 81% or more are annually rehabilitated by nurses.

- The following other preferential benefits:

+ Provide necessary aids, orthopedic tools, means, and equipment for rehabilitation as designated by orthopedic and functional rehabilitation establishments in the labor - war invalids and social sectors or by hospitals at the provincial level or higher;

+ Support for housing improvement based on the merits and circumstances of each person or when having housing difficulties;

+ Exemption or reduction of the land use levy when being allocated residential land by the State, changing the land use purpose to residential land; recognizing the right to use residential land, when purchasing houses owned by the State;

+ Prioritizing allocation or lease of land, water surface, and sea surface; prioritizing forest protection and development contracts;

+ Preferential loans for production and business;

+ Tax exemption or reduction as prescribed by law.

Preferential benefit for relatives of sick soldiers in Vietnam

Pursuant to Article 28 of the Ordinance on Incentives for People with Meritorious Service to the Revolution 2020, relatives of sick soldiers are entitled to the following preferential benefits in Vietnam:

- Health insurance for the following people:

+ Natural father, mother, spouse, and children from full 6 years old to under 18 years old or from full 18 years old if they continue to go to school or suffer from severe disability, especially severe disability of sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 61% or more;

+ People serving sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more live at home.

- If a patient with a body injury rate of 61% or more dies, his/her relatives are entitled to a survivorship allowance as follows:

+ The biological father, natural mother, or spouse is of age as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 169 of the Labor Code 2019, the child is under 18 years of age, or is aged full 18 years or older if continuing to attend school, or is severely disabled; especially severe disabilities are entitled to a monthly survivorship allowance;

+ Natural father or mother living alone, spouse who is full age as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 169 of the Labor Code 2019 living alone, orphaned child with both parents under 18 years old or full 18 years old or older if they continue to go to school or suffer from severe disability, especially severe disability, they are entitled to monthly survivorship allowance and monthly maintenance survivorship allowance.

- Special incentives for children of sick soldiers:

+ Priority in enrollment and job creation;

+ Support to study up to university level at educational institutions under the national education system;

- One-time allowance for relatives with the level of 03 months of monthly allowance, the monthly allowance currently enjoyed when the sick soldier receiving the monthly allowance dies.

- Funeral allowance for the person or organization that performs the funeral when the sick soldier who is receiving the monthly allowance dies.
