On April 18, 2017, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam signed and promulgated Decision 520/QD-TTg on supplementing the List of the Vietnamese Encyclopedia. Contributing to raising the intellectual standards of the populace, serving the cause of building, protecting, and developing the country; Becoming an official, standard, and essential tool for study and reference during Vietnam's industrialization, modernization, and international integration process. Compilation timeline for the Encyclopedia Set:
- Phase 1: From 2014 until the end of 2019, compilation will be done by segmented volumes.- Phase 2: From 2020 until the end of 2023, 35 volumes will be compiled according to the alphabetical order and one reference guide.
