Hoi An continues applying social isolation due to Covid-19 from 12:00 AM on August 14, 2020

This is the notable content stipulated in Decision 2221/QD-UBND of 2020 on the continued social isolation according to Directive 16/CT-TTg on COVID-19 prevention and control in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province.

Under Decision 2221/QD-UBND, Hoi An City under Quang Nam province continues applying social isolation from 0:00 on August 14, 2020 until further notice following Directive 16/CT-TTg on COVID-19 prevention and control, with specific contents as follows:

Firstly, social isolation as required by Directive 16/CT-TTg must be complied with, ensuring social distancing, and maintaining a safe distance between people, and communities. Residents are required to stay at home and minimize going out, except in essential cases such as:

- Cases of purchasing food, groceries, medicines, and other essential goods and services;

- Emergency cases such as medical emergencies, natural disasters, fires, etc.;

- Cases of working at state agencies, armed forces, diplomatic agencies

Note: When leaving the house, it is mandatory to wear a face mask, wash hands with soap or disinfectant, avoid gathering more than 02 people in public places outside of offices, schools, and hospitals and maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters.

Secondly, factories, production facilities; traffic and construction works; essential service enterprises, restaurants (such as food, groceries, medicines; gasoline, oil; electricity; water; fuel, etc.); banks, treasuries, enterprises directly related to banking and enterprise support services (such as notary, lawyer, registration, secured transaction registration, etc.), stock markets, postal services, telecommunications, support services for the transportation of import-export goods, medical treatment, and funerals are allowed to continue operating. The heads of the above-mentioned establishments must take absolute safety responsibility and fully implement anti-epidemic measures.

Thirdly, educational and training activities; cultural activities, activities of sports, festivals, contests, performances, anniversaries, exhibitions, and religious rituals; operation of tourist sites, historical-cultural relics, scenic spots, and welcoming new tourists; beaches must be suspended.

Fourthly, public passenger transport activities (except for reasons of public service; vehicles carrying isolated persons; vehicles transporting workers, experts; vehicles carrying raw materials for production, goods to minimize personal vehicle use) must be suspended.

Fifthly, heads of agencies, units, organizations, and enterprises in Vietnam are responsible for organizing work from home suitable to their specific conditions, ensuring that work is not delayed, especially tasks with deadlines set by law, and public services for people and enterprises.
