Recently, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City issued Official Dispatch No. 2388/SYT-QLDVYT regarding the resumption of operations for private medical examination and treatment facilities, addressed to the People's Committees of districts, district Health Offices, and private medical examination and treatment facilities.

Following the directives of the Municipal Party Committee and the People’s Committee of the city on preparing for the new phase with the spirit of "simultaneously fighting the epidemic and ensuring production life," developing a roadmap to gradually relax measures, but must control appropriately, without complacency, negligence with the COVID-19 epidemic, the Department of Health agrees that private medical examination and treatment facilities that were temporarily suspended in the past due to social distancing measures are allowed to resume operations from April 23, 2020, but must ensure the following requirements:
- Strictly comply with the regulations of the City-level COVID-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee on wearing masks, hand washing, temperature measurement, maintaining a minimum distance of 2 meters at medical examination and treatment facilities.
- Conduct health declarations for everyone coming to the medical examination and treatment facilities, comply with infection control measures, and use personal protective equipment when in contact with patients.
- When receiving patients with suspected factors, immediately isolate the patients, thoroughly investigate epidemiological factors, clinical symptoms, and fully document medical records, contact referral lines as necessary to prevent community transmission.
- Based on the "Set of Criteria for Assessing the Risk of COVID-19 Infection at Medical Examination and Treatment Facilities in Ho Chi Minh City" issued by the Department of Health, self-assess risk indicators, determine priority activities to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection.
Particularly, cosmetic surgery and physiotherapy facilities will continue to suspend operations as per the spirit of Official Dispatch 1152/UBND-VX dated March 27, 2020 of the City People’s Committee until further notice.
