HCM City, Vietnam: Support allowance of 130,000 VND/day for volunteers fighting against COVID-19

Ho Chi Minh City People's Council issued Resolution 06/2022/NQ-HDND on specific policies to support volunteers participating in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City, in which, the volunteers shall receive support at the rate of 130,000 VND/person/day.

Specifically, there are 13 groups of volunteers receiving support in HCM city, Vietnam, including:

(1) Directing or assisting in the examination, diagnosis, treatment, and taking care of COVID-19 infected or suspected COVID-19 infected people, or performing administrative and logistical tasks at COVID-19 collection and treatment facilities specified in Article 1 of Resolution 168/NQ-CP.

(2) In charge of taking samples, pooling samples, separating samples, and directly testing for SARS-CoV-2 at public health facilities, in the community.

(3) Cleaning tools and preparing the environment for use by the SARS-CoV-2 laboratory.

(4) Carrying out the task of transporting, preserving, and handling SARS-CoV-2-infected death cases.

(5) Disinfectant sprays in medical examination and treatment facilities, concentrated medical isolation facilities, and residential areas zoned or blocked off by competent authorities

(6) Participating in 115 emergency teams, the COVID-19 patient transport team.

(7) In charge of administrative and logistical duties at 115 emergency stations.

(8) In charge of receiving and coordinating the emergency transmission line at the 115 Emergency Switchboard.

(9) Zoning, blocking, patrolling, controlling, and ensuring security and order in concentrated medical isolation areas; epidemic control checkpoints in residential areas with COVID-19 infected people; city station; Thu Duc City and districts

(10) Performing epidemiological surveillance, medical monitoring, and monitoring and treatment of people infected with COVID-19 at health stations of communes, wards, and townships (including stations, mobile medical teams, and care teams) people infected with COVID-19 in the community)

(11) Join the COVID-19 vaccination team in the free vaccination program.

(12) Receiving and distributing goods to support people facing difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic at the Center for receiving and supporting essential goods to serve people in difficult circumstances caused by the COVID-19 epidemic at all levels of the City.

(13) Taking care of newborn babies whose mothers have COVID-19.

Support allowance: 130,000 VND/person/day

Note: The payment  is calculated according to the actual number of days of volunteering. At the same time, it does not apply to those who are receiving salaries from the state budget, volunteering to participate in the fight against the epidemic, or are encouraged to participate by agencies and units at work in Vietnam

Support period: from April 17, 2022 to the end of December 31, 2022.
