Having had enough doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, people returning from epidemic areas self-monitor their health at home for 7 days (Artwork).

On August 6, 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 6386/BYT-MT on applying epidemic prevention and control measures to with people returning from areas with COVID-19 epidemic, specifically as follows:

Having had enough doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. people returning from epidemic areas self-monitor their health at home for 7 days (Artwork).

(1) For those coming to/from areas with the COVID-19 epidemic (regularly updated on the website of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam at: https://moh.gov.vn/dia-diem-cach-glass):

- Those who have received a full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (with a certificate of vaccination on the electronic health book or a certificate of full-dose vaccination from a vaccination facility in which the last dose has been administered at least 14 times) or have recovered from COVID-19 (with a certificate of SARS-COV-2 positive test by RT-PCR method of application form no older than 6 months) (up to the time of arrival/return) and a certificate of COVID-19 recovery or hospital discharge):

Self-monitoring of health at home and accommodation for 07 days from the date of arrival/return to the locality. Always implement the 5K Message and perform the test twice on the first day and the seventh day. If there are any test resultsIf they test positive for SARS-CoV-2, they will be handled according to regulations.

- People who have not been vaccinated or have not received enough doses of the vaccine against COVID-19:

Carry out medical isolation at home, where to stay for 14 days from the date of arrival or return to the locality. Continue to self-monitor for the next 14 days. During the medical isolation period at home and place of residence, test three times on the first day, day seven, and day fourteen.In the event of a positive test result for SARS-CoV-2, it will be handled according to regulations.

- Cases from other provinces, cities, and localities passing through an epidemic area but not stopping or parking are not required to take medical isolation measures.

(2) for people returning from provinces, cities, and regions that are implementing social distancing under Directive 16:

- Requesting people not to move from the province or city where they live to another location until the distance is over, according to Official Dispatch 1063/CD-TTg dated July 31, 2021.

- For special cases that are allowed by the local government to move to another locality, take measures to prevent and control the epidemic as prescribed in Section (1).

(3) Those who join working groups on the decision of competent authorities in provinces, cities, epidemic areas, or who are implementing social distancing in accordance with Vietnam's Directive 16 (except those receiving close contact of a case of COVID-19 (F1) or contact of a case of COVID-19 (F2)):

- Members of the delegation from the level of Deputy Minister or equivalent or higher:

Self-monitor your health for 14 days. If there are abnormal signs of health such as cough, fever, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of taste, etc., report it to the health authority for monitoring and handling according to regulations.

- People who have received a full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or have recovered from COVID-19:

Self-monitor your health for 7 days.

Test for SARS-CoV-2 by the RT-PCR method twice on the first day and on the 7th day from the date of arrival or return.

Always implement the 5K message, especially wear a mask, do not gather and do not go to crowded places.

- People who have not been vaccinated or have not received enough doses of the vaccine against COVID-19:

Carry out medical isolation at home and place of residence for 3 days from the date of arrival or return to the locality as prescribed in Vietnam's Decision 879/QD-BYT dated March 20, 2020.

Continue to self-monitor your health until the end of 14 days from the date of arrival/return to your locality. Always implement the 5K message, especially wear a mask, do not gather and do not go to crowded places.

Test for SARS-CoV-2 twice on the first and third days from the date of medical isolation at home or place of residence. In the event of a positive test result for SARS-CoV-2, it will be handled according to regulations.

(4) For drivers of vehicles transporting goods in and out of epidemic areas, medical isolation is not required when fully complying with epidemic prevention and control requirements under the guidance of the Ministry of Health in Official Dispatch 898/BYT-MT dated February 7, 2021 and Official Dispatch 4351/BYT-MT dated May 28, 2021.

(5) For people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from COVID-19 abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam will inspect and recognize vaccination certificates, certificates of COVID-19 recovery, or similar documents, or other foreign equivalents.
