This is the notable content of the Resolution No. 1111/NQ-UBTVQH14 on arrangement of commune-level and district-level administrative divisions and establishment of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh City, promulgated on December 09, 2020.
The Resolution No. 1111/NQ-UBTVQH14 resolved the following main contents:
(1) Arrangement of district-level administrative divisions to establish Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh City
(2) Arrangement of commune-level administrative divisions affiliated to Ho Chi Minh City
(3) Establishment of the People's Court of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh city
(4) Establishment of the People's Procuracy of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh city
Establishment of the People's Court of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh city is stipulated as follows:
- Dissolve the People's Courts of District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District to establish the People's Court of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh City.
- The People's Court of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh city consists of the following specialized courts: Criminal Court; Civil Court; Family and Juvenile Court; Administrative Court; Economic Court.
- The People's Court of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh city shall inherit the duties and powers of the People's Courts of District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District as per the law.
Besides, the Resolution No. 1111/NQ-UBTVQH14 also clarifies that the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy shall, within the scope of their respective duties and powers, have to guide activities; arrange organizational apparatus, decide staff, the number of judges, procurators, other public employees and employees of the People's Court, the People's Procuracy of Thu Duc City affiliated to Ho Chi Minh City as per the law.
Since January 01, 2021, which is the date of entry into force of the Resolution No. 1111/NQ-UBTVQH14, Ho Chi Minh City has 22 district-level administrative divisions, including 16 urban districts, 05 suburban districts and 1 city; 312 commune-level administrative divisions, including 58 communes, 249 wards and 05 towns.
