1. Who is an examiner?
Examiners are persons who are appointed in accordance with law to assist procurators in exercising the power to prosecute and supervise judicial activities; perform other duties and exercise other powers as assigned by chief procurators of their people’s procuracies.

2. General Standards for Examiners in Vietnam
General Standards of Examiners include:
- Being a Vietnamese citizen means being loyal to the fatherland and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; having good moral qualities such as integrity and honesty; having a strong political will; and having the spirit of resolutely defending the socialist legality.
- Having a bachelor's degree in law or higher.
- Trained in supervision.
- Having time to do practical work in accordance with this resolution.
- Have good health to complete assigned tasks.

3. Criteria for the Appointment of Examiners in Vietnam
3.1. Criteria for the Appointment of Examiners
Persons who fully meet the criteria in item (2) and fully meet the following conditions may be appointed as Examiners of the People's Procuracy; if they are working at military procuracies, they may be appointed as Examiners of military procuracies:
- Being a civil servant
- Having at least 3 years of legal work experience.
- Being able to help procurators exercise their right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities; perform other tasks; and exercise other powers as assigned by the Chief Procurator of the People's Procuracy and the Director of the Military Procuracy.
3.2. Criteria for the appointment of the Chief Examiners
Persons who fully meet the criteria in item (2) and fully meet the following conditions may be appointed as chief Examiners of the People's Procuracy; if they are working at military procuracies, they may be appointed as main Examiners of military procuracies:
- Having been an auditor for at least five years,
- Being capable of providing professional guidance to Examiners and taking up a job position corresponding to the rank of principal inspector.
- Having passed the entrance exam for the rank of Chief Inspector
3.3. Criteria for the Appointment of Senior Examiners
A person who fully meets the criteria in item (2) and fully meets the following conditions may be appointed as a senior inspector of the People's Procuracy; if working at military procuracies, they may be appointed as senior Examiners of military procuracies:
- Having been the Chief Inspector for at least five years,
- Capable of providing professional guidance to junior Examiners and taking on a job position corresponding to the rank of senior inspector.

4. Dismissal of Examiners in Vietnam
- The dismissal from the position of Inspector shall be carried out in the following cases:
+ Examiners are automatically relieved of duty when they retire, quit their jobs, or change branches;
+ Examiners may be dismissed for health reasons, family circumstances, or for other reasons that they consider make them unable to complete their assigned tasks.
Examiners are automatically dismissed from their posts when convicted by legally effective court judgments.
- Depending on the nature and seriousness of the violation, an inspector may be dismissed from the position of inspector in one of the following cases:
+ Violating the law while performing tasks;
+ Violation of things that civil servants are not allowed to do;
+ Violation of moral qualities;
There are other illegal acts.
