Additional cases to receive the title of People's Artist, Artist of Merit in Vietnam (Source: Internet)
Specifically, Article 66 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022 stipulates the consideration and award of the title of "People's Artist" and "Artist of Merit" in Vietnam as follows:
- The title "People's Artist", "Artist of Merit" to be awarded to individuals operating in the fields of culture and art, including:
+ Actor, director, art director, conductor, choreographer, cameraman, musician, painter, broadcaster;
+ Creators of cultural and artistic works who do not fall into the categories specified by the Government in Point a, Clause 1, Article 66 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022.
(Compared with the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2003, adding more subjects to receive the title of "People's Artist", "Artist of Merit" for creators of cultural and artistic works who are not subject to regulations at Point a, Clause 1, Article 66 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022.)
- The title "People's Artist" is presented to an individual specified in Clause 1, Article 66 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022 who has been awarded the title of "Artist of Merit" and meets the following criteria:
+ Loyalty to the Fatherland; strict adherence to Party guidelines, policies, and laws;
+ Having good moral qualities, having excellent artistic talents, making many contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause, and being admired by colleagues and the people;
+ Working in the field of culture and art for at least 20 years, or 15 years for circus and dance art forms;
+ After being named "Artist of Merit," continue to win prizes in domestic or international art contests, festivals, or festivals, or have excellent works with high ideological value.and art is loved and accepted by the public.
- The title of "Artist of Merit" shall be conferred on an individual specified in Clause 1, Article 66 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022 who meets the following criteria:
+ Loyalty to the Fatherland; strict adherence to Party guidelines, policies, and laws;
+ Having good moral qualities, having artistic talents, having a spirit of serving the people, being admired by colleagues and the people;
+ Having worked in the field of culture and art for 15 years or more or 10 years or more, for the art of circus and dance; be presented with prizes from domestic or foreign art contests, festivals and festivals or have excellent works of high ideological and artistic value that are loved and received by the public in Vietnam.
- The title "People's Artist", "Artist of Merit" is considered and announced every 3 years on the occasion of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
