According to to this Official Dispatch, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City gives directions as follows:

First, request the citizens to strictly wear face masks in public places, and properly implement measures for pandemic prevention and control.

Second, postpone events that involve a large crowd such as festivals, trade fairs, investment promotion conferences, other less urgent meetings and seminars, etc. and restrict gatherings at weddings and funerals, etc. Do not gather more than 30 people in public places (outside schools, hospitals, etc.).

Third, Temporarily close non-essential service establishments: bars and discotheques.

Forth, encourage online meetings and conferences; strengthen application of information technology system to communicate and work online.  In case where face-to-face conferences are necessary to be held (by Communist Party agencies, authorities, etc.) pandemic prevention and control measures must be implemented in accordance with regulations of the health sector.

+ Take body temperature and order compulsory wearing of face masks at the entrance of an agency or unit for everyone who either goes to work or contacts for work purpose.

+ For meetings:  Each attendee must wear a face mask, restrict handshakes and communication at close distance; and disinfect their hands before and after the meeting. Clean the meeting room, disinfect surfaces and objects in contact with the attendees after each meeting.

Fifth, urgent activities of the health sector such as blood drive is necessary to continue and adopt pandemic prevention and control measures as prescribed by the health sector during the blood donor session.

Assign the Department of Information and Communications to promote information and advocacy messages of the pandemic developments, pandemic prevention and control measures and recommend the citizens to be alert, proactive and self-conscious in implementing measures to prevent and control the pandemic, such as wearing face masks in public places and on public transports, restraining themselves from gathering when not necessary, and washing hands frequently with soap, disinfectants, etc.

This document comes into force as of 0h July 31, 2020 until further notice.
