1. Speeding fines for motorcycles and mopeds in Vietnam
Pursuant to Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP as amended by Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP, the fines for motorcyclists and motorbike drivers for speeding are as follows:
-A fine of between VND 300,000 and VND 400,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed from 05 km/h to less than 10 km/h (according to point c, clause 2, Article 6 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP is permitted, as amended at point k, clause 34, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).
-A fine of between VND 800,000 and VND 1,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed from 10 km/h to 20 km/h (according to Point a, Clause 4, Article 6 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP), as amended at Point g, Clause 34, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).
-A fine of between VND 4,000,000 and 5,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed by more than 20 km/h (according to Point a, Clause 7, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also be deprived of the right to use the driving license for 2 to 4 months (according to point c, clause 10, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
2. Speeding fines for cars in Vietnam
-A fine of between VND 800,000 and VND 1,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed from 05 km/h to less than 10 km/h (according to Point a, Clause 3, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP).
-A fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed from 10 km/h to 20 km/h (according to Point i, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/N-CP). -CP is amended at point DD, clause 34, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).
In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also be deprived of the right to use the driving license for a period of 1 to 3 months (according to point b, clause 11 of Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP);

3. Speeding fines for tractors or special-purpose motorcycles
-A fine ranging from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed from 5 km/h to 10 km/h (according to Point a, Clause 3, Article 7 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
-A fine of between VND 800,000 and VND 1,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers of vehicles exceeding the prescribed speed from 10km/h to 20km/h (according to Point a, Clause 4, Article 7 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
In addition, the vehicle operator who commits the violation will also be deprived of the right to use the driver's license (when operating a tractor) and the certificate of training in legal knowledge on road traffic (when operating a motorcycle). specialized use) from 01 month to 03 months (according to point a, clause 10, Article 7 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
