According to point e, clause 4, point b, Clause 10, Article 6 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP and point g, Clause 34, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP:
Drivers of motorcycles and mopeds (including electric scooters) who fail to comply with the traffic lights will be fined from VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000, and have their driving license revoked from 01 month to 03 months.
2. Penalties for failure to comply with the traffic lights for automobiles and similar vehicles in Vietnam
Pursuant to Point a, Clause 5, Points b, c Clause 11 Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP and Point dd Clause 34 Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP:
Drivers of cars and vehicles similar to cars that run red or yellow lights will be fined from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000; At the same time, the right to use the driving license shall be revoked from 01 to 03 months; from 02 to 04 months if causing traffic accident.
3. Penalties for failure to comply with the traffic lights for tractors and special-use motorcycles in Vietnam
Point dd Clause 5, Points a and b Clause 10 Article 7 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP and Point d Clause 34 Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP stipulate:
Operators of tractors and special-use vehicles that run red or yellow lights will be fined from VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000, and have their driving license (when operating tractors) and certificates of training in knowledge about the road traffic law (when operating heavy-duty vehicles) from 1 month to 3 months suspended; from 2 to 4 months if causing an accident.

4. What are the penalties for not wearing helmet?

A fine ranging from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 shall be imposed on vehicle drivers who commit one of the following violations:
- Failure to wear "helmets for motorcyclists" or "helmets for motorcyclists" or "helmets for motorcyclists" that do not properly fasten the straps when operating the vehicle in traffic on the road;
