Recently, the Department of Transport of Quang Ninh province issued Official Dispatch 468/SGTVT-QLVT&PT on the temporary suspension of passenger transport (road and waterway) in the province.

Urgent: To suspend inter-provincial and intra-provincial passenger transport in Quang Ninh from January 28 (Illustration)
To implement the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province at the meeting on January 27, 2021 on the Covid-19 epidemic and Vietnam's Plan 46/KH-UBND to respond to the level of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of the Corona virus, the Department of Transport announced the following:
- Quang Ninh temporarily suspends all inter-provincial and intra-provincial road and waterway passenger transport activities (fixed routes, contracts, taxis, buses, ferries) in Quang Ninh province (including means of travel to and from Quang Ninh province) from 6:00 on January 28, 2021 until further notice. In which:
+ Passenger transport units must immediately discharge passengers, transport vehicles to and from parking areas, clean and disinfect vehicles, and monitor the health of drivers and attendants on the vehicle;
+ Bus stations, passenger wharf ports, and ferry terminals stop operating and arrange for vehicles to park safely; cleaning and disinfecting all ports and wharves;
+ For vehicles that are on a journey or have loaded passengers, they must strictly comply with medical declaration, disinfect, wear masks, and distance regulations.
- The Department of Transport assigned the Inspector of the Department of Transport to strengthen the organization of patrol and control; prepare forces to join epidemic control checkpoints in localities when required.
- Quang Ninh Inland Waterway Administration is responsible for controlling the implementation of this notice at ports and passenger terminals; promptly report problems arising at ports and wharves related to passenger transport to the islands.
- The Department of Transport and Vehicle Management of the Department must assume the prime responsibility for advising, guiding, urging, and supervising the implementation of this notice; organizing inspection and grasping the implementation of epidemic prevention and control work of the units, promptly reporting and proposing to solve arising problems.
